Ohio Business College Teacher Wins State Award

(Columbus, OH) – Margaret Cataldo, a faculty member at Ohio Business College, in Sheffield Village, received the 2011 Master Teacher Award from the Ohio Association of Career Colleges and Schools at the group’s annual meeting in Columbus on November 4th. Each year, the association honors teachers at career colleges and schools for outstanding service to their students, institutions, and profession.

Margie has been with OBC Sheffield since January 2009. She is a graduate of Ashworth College with a major in Health Care Management and she is a member of the American Medical Billing Association. In addition to being a Certified Professional Coder, she has the following certifications: CPC-H, CPC-I, CMIS, CMBS, HCM, and CMRS. She currently lives in Lorain with her husband.

Jan Sedely, Director of Education at Ohio Business College in Sheffield Village, said that Cataldo was recognized because of her dedication to her students. “She was selected for this award because she is committed to helping her students achieve,” Sedely explained. “She is accessible to her students and supports them in striving for their professional goals,” adding that “she thoroughly enjoys helping students get their certifications.” Cataldo resides in Lorain along with her husband.

The Ohio Association of Career Colleges and Schools is a statewide association of voluntary membership for non-public, post-secondary private schools and colleges. All member schools are licensed by the State of Ohio, through the State Board of Career Colleges and Schools.
